5.1John Corrie Enlists in 1st A.I.F.
John Corrie did not take long after the outbreak of the war, to enlist in the Australia Army as his enlistment papers were filled out in Brisbane, Queensland and were dated 5th October 1914. He enlisted in Brisbane, not Sydney, as he was most probably in Brisbane to attend the Golden Wedding Anniversary of his great uncle David Lindsay and Grace Maria Dymock who were married on 16th November 1864.
